Hello!
I am a 22 year old woman coming to Morocco at the very end of september. I am looking for an appartement or maybe a home stay. Does any one have any advice about which would be a better choice? I am traveling alone and thought maybe living with a family might be better. On the other hand, having an apartment would be great if I could find one. thanks! |

I'm sorry, what is your name again?
I promise to remember after today ! I looked at pictures of the apartment you recommended to Linda. http://ermorocco.fantastic.free.fr/f...tement-fes.php Very nice for Linda, but too big for me! I am coming to Morocco (inshallah) end of April next year. What do you think is a reasonable price to pay for a small one-bedroom apartment with small salon, good bathroom and small kitchen ? Maybe in the north around Fez or Chefchaoun. Please tell me price in $U.S. Thank you for your help. Best regards, d. |

Hi DavidDaoud,
My name is Rachid and you are welcome to this forum. the prices varies and depends on the area where this appartment is located, but in Fez monthly rent starts from 1200 dh to 3500 dh (11 dh = 1 euro). In chefchaouen it less expensive it stars around 1000 dh per month. but don't forget that chefchouen is a very very cold city in the winter (lot of snow). Welcome to Morocco. ![]() Rachid. |

Maybe I could spend Spring and Summer in Chefchaoun or Meknes? and then move closer to Marrakech in Winter time? But Marrakech sounds very touristy to me and I want to meet Moroccans not Europeans or other North Americans, because I am interested in Islam and Moroccan culture (especially food!). What about way down south in Sidi Ifni or Tan-Tan for winter?
Thanks Rachid; I really appreciate your help. d. |
