Majda Yahyaoui playing At Bab Boujloud square

Walking the streets around Bab Boujloud around 7:30 p.m. on a Sunday night, I saw that the swap meet near the Kasbah was still going strong.Nearby, local women sat in rows, along the low walls of the area near the concert stage and by the gate like roosting birds, taking a well-deserved break from housework. The streets were packed with vendors and strollers and people coming home from work. On stage for the evening's free concert was Majda Yahyaoui playing to a large crowd.
